Patient No-Show Policy

Definition of a “No-Show”: Visions Medical Health Care defines a “No-show” appointment as any scheduled appointment in which the patient either:

1. Does not arrive to the appointment.
2. Cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice.
3. Arrives more than 15 minutes late and is consequently unable to be seen.

Impact of a “No-Show” Appointment:

“No-show” appointments have a significant negative impact on our practice and the care we provide to our patients. When a patient “no-shows” a scheduled appointment VMHC loses an opportunity to get another patient in who needs care.

How to Avoid Getting a “No-Show”:

1. Confirm your appointment
2. Arrive early to your appointment
3. Give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel appointment

1. Appointment Confirmation:

VMHC wil attempt to contact you two to three business days before your scheduled appointment to confirm your visit. you will receive a text, phone call and or email instructing you to confirm your appointment and or to complete necessary paperwork.
Simply click on the link provided and start your pre-visit paperwork and update any changes to address, phone number and or insurance information. You will be contacted by phone the day before if you have failed to complete your pre-visit paperwork. Please make sure we have the correct number and e-mail address in our system.

2. Always Arrive Early:

We recommend you arrive at our practice 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit. This time allows for you and our staff to address any insurance or billing questions and or to complete any necessary paperwork before the scheduled visit.

3. Give 24 Hours’ Notice if You Need to Cancel:

In the event an emergency arise and you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you will be so kind to contact our office at a minimum of 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
Failure to cancel within the required time will result in a $25.00 cancellation Fee, failure to show for a scheduled appointment will result in a $50 no show fee. It is noted all fees must be paid before the next appointment with Visions Medical Health Care.
